Drinking coffee after gluttony can't get rid of greasy.
Los Angeles, April 3 (Reporter Plateau) after enjoying a fat-rich meal, many people in Europe and the United States are willing to drink a cup of coffee to relieve the greasy. But a Canadian study found that this habit may double the increase in blood sugar, affecting health.
Researchers at the University of Guelph in Canada used the "fat cocktail" method to discover the effect of caffeine on blood sugar.
In the general "fat cocktail" method, the researchers first designed a lipid drink, which has the same effect as fat intake. Then, the subjects drank a certain amount of lipid drinks to simulate the fat intake of a big meal. Six hours after drinking, each subject drank another glass of sugar water, and then checked their blood sugar levels.
Canadian researchers selected a group of healthy men, according to the latest issue of the American Journal of Nutrition, which publishes the results of the University of Guelph. The results showed that the average blood sugar level of subjects who drank sugar water after a big meal was 32% higher than that of healthy people who drank only sugar water without a big meal.
In a further study, the researchers asked subjects to drink two cups of coffee five hours after a meal and a cup of sugar water an hour later. Blood sugar measurements found that the average blood sugar level of the subjects was 65% higher than that of healthy people who drank only sugar water without a big meal. This means that caffeine exacerbates the health damage of a high-fat diet.
