Maojiro Tanegawa's grandchildren reorganized the building and opened it in the name of his grandfather's nickname "Maoan".

The whole Mao nunnery is made of wood and has no extra decoration. the first floor is the work area and home, and the second floor is the business place to entertain guests. I opened the wooden door, took off my shoes, and walked up to the second floor on Haw's wooden ladder. the whole sunlit green scene enters the view through the glass on all sides, overlooking the Kyoto city. On August 16 every year, you can also book a seat here to see the famous Wushan fire in Kyoto.
