There are many variables in the process of making Espresso, including grinding degree of powder, strength of pressing powder, water pressure, extraction time, water temperature and so on. The right water temperature is very important for extraction, and the stability of water temperature is also a crucial standard to measure a coffee machine.
It has been a week since I got the giotto, but I haven't had much time to do it. I only started it three times when I was full of money. I have to test the temperature stability of giotto today.
Before buying the machine, I have read a lot of articles about giotto, and I also know that in terms of temperature stability, the parent boiler of giotto is incomparable to the machine with two boilers. The test results of some foreign websites are that under the condition of proper use (by releasing water, waiting regularly, etc.) giotto can basically achieve stable extraction temperature within 30 seconds, that is, to ensure the extraction of a cup of coffee.
Today, I did a test myself, using a TM902c thermometer (not accurate enough to be accurate to 1 degree), and my furnace pressure was adjusted to about 1-1.2 bar. Under this condition, the machine is idle for more than 10 minutes, the water is discharged for about half a minute, and then the temperature is measured after waiting for 30 seconds and 55 seconds respectively, and a stable extraction temperature of about 20 seconds can be obtained.
Test equipment timer and TM902c thermometer, already ready to change to a precise point, can be accurate to 0.1 degrees
I do not know if it is due to operational problems or measurement problems, I have not yet got a stable water temperature of 30 seconds. But for a machine with only 1.8 liters of master boiler, I am more satisfied for 20 seconds.
