Arabica beans grow at colder high elevations in the tropics and are an important kind of commercial coffee with a fruiting period of less than three years and a high-quality aroma and sour taste. Arabica coffee beans are mainly produced in South America (except parts of Argentina and Brazil), Central America, Africa (Kenya, Ethiopia, etc., mainly East African countries), Asia (parts of Yemen, India and Papua New Guinea)

Robstado grows in lowlands 200-600m above sea level and likes warm climates. the temperature is 2429 ℃, and the requirement for rainfall is not high. However, this variety depends on insects or wind to pollinate, so it takes 11 months for coffee from pollination to fruit, which is longer than Arabica.

Liberian beans are native to the lowland forests of Liberia on the west coast of Africa, widely planted in tropical low-altitude areas, evergreen trees, up to about 10 meters high, with extended branches. Leaves thick leathery, large, elliptic, Obovate-elliptic. The flowers are white and the fruit is few. Generally, there are only 6 flowers in a section. The fruit is large and reddish when ripe, with a hard and thick rind and pulp. The main root is thick and long, drought resistance, wind resistance, cold resistance is strong, but disease resistance is weak, the most likely to be infected with leaf rust. The product has a strong and hot taste, strong irritation and poor quality. There is a small amount of cultivation in Hainan Island, China.

The following is a comparison of the three kinds of beans I found for you online for your reference:

1. Arabica coffee tree

The Arabica coffee tree, which originated in Ethiopia, accounts for 70% of the world's coffee bean production. The world-famous blue mountain caffeine and mocha coffee are almost all Arabica species. Arabica coffee trees are suitable for growing in high mountains with large temperature difference between day and night, and ten soils with low humidity and good drainage; the ideal altitude is 500m ~ 2000, the higher the altitude, the better the quality. However, due to the weak ability to resist diseases and insect pests, it is more difficult to grow than the other two coffee trees.

2. Robasta Coffee Tree

The Robastian coffee tree, which originated in the Congo in Africa, accounts for about 20% to 30% of the world's production. Luoba Jinta coffee tree is suitable for planting in the lowlands below 500 meters above sea level, has strong adaptability to external environment, has strong resistance to disease, and has high yield. It does not need much artificial care during soil preparation, weeding and pruning, and can be allowed to grow in the wild. It is a kind of coffee tree that is easy to cultivate.

Compared with Arabica coffee beans, Robusta coffee beans are more round in shape, with a slightly inflated side in the middle, and straight grooves reminiscent of soybeans, while Arabica coffee beans are oval and zigzag, a bit like half a peanut. But its flavor is more bitter than Arabica, and its quality is much lower, so it is mostly used to make instant coffee. In general, the coffee sold in fast food restaurants is mainly made of coffee beans grown in Robasta. Because it is made in Africa, most Africans drink robastian coffee.

3. Liberian coffee trees

The Liberian coffee tree is native to Liberia in Africa, and its cultivation history is shorter than that of the other two coffee trees, so it is limited to a few places such as Liberia, Suriname and Gaiana, so it accounts for less than 5% of the world's output. The coffee tree of Liberia is suitable for planting in the lowlands, and the coffee beans produced have a strong aroma and bitter taste.
