About American coffee
American coffee was born after World War II, when the Americans ended the war in Europe, many troops came to southern Europe, they could not drink Espresso, so they diluted it with warm water. Because this drink is mainly American soldiers, so people give them the name American coffee.
Because most Americans at that time used the filter method to make coffee with a lighter flavor. To this day, most Americans use a drip coffee maker in their homes, which is why drip coffee makers are also called American coffee makers. But the popularity of American-style coffee made by diluting a cup of Espresso with water has benefited from Starbucks 'global presence.
So is it possible to make a cup of mild coffee with the right way of making water out of the captain's time? There are two opinions here. Traditional Espresso holdouts say no, because coffee is over-extracted, especially late in the extraction process, which also extracts coffee powder impurities and excessive caffeine, and these people despise this method.
