What is SCAA?

SCAA, whose full name is Specialty Coffee Association ofAmerica, American Fine Coffee Association, was founded in 1982. It is the most influential and authoritative coffee organization in the world. SCAA is committed to the promotion of high-quality coffee and sets various standards for the international coffee industry, including "from seed to cup". Among them, education, training and qualification certification are recognized authorities in the coffee industry all over the world and are an important driving force for the sustainable development of the global coffee industry.
SCAA is currently the largest coffee trade association in the world, with more than 3, 000 member companies in more than 40 countries, covering all areas of the coffee industry. SCAA has two chapters: the baristas Association (Barista Guild of America) and the Baker Association (Roasters Guild), both of which are made up of professional coffee practitioners. Members improve the quality of coffee in the industry through information exchange, skills training and cooperation. The Coffee quality Association (CQI) is the charitable trust of SCAA and the largest provider of coffee training and technical assistance in the coffee industry.
