In the 1970s, P & G began to promote the Folgers brand across the United States, overtaking Kraft Maxwell in the late 1980s to become the largest coffee brand by sales in the United States. Although the sales volume of Folgers's ground coffee is second to none in the American market, with the rapid rise of Starbucks and other large coffee chains, coupled with the general rise in coffee bean prices and the surge in the number of gourmet coffee brands, the development of Folgers has been greatly affected, among which the consumption concept and behavior of young consumers are the most influential.
