French Coffee History: "Flower God" Cafe

The Cafe "God of Flowers", one of the three famous cafes in Paris, opened in 1865. It is famous for receiving people from cultural and art circles and has a history of more than 100 years. Picasso, Sartre, Breton and Trotsky, a politician, all drank coffee there.

In addition, the cafe has a deep relationship with literature, and there are even literary scholarships, and special seats are reserved for winners on the second floor for a year. There is also a coffee cup engraved with the winner's name on display forever in the cafe. In the 1920s, young Zhou Enlai often went there to drink coffee and write articles. The Flower God Cafe now belongs to the cultural heritage protection unit in Paris. The shield-shaped metal plate protected by cultural relics clearly bears the name of Zhou Enlai.
