Mexico has a history of growing coffee for more than 200 years. Coffee is mainly produced in 12 states nationwide, covering an area of 700000 hectares. Mexico's coffee exports are sold to 47 countries around the world, mainly the United States, Europe, Japan and other places are also important export destinations. In recent years, global coffee consumption has been increasing, with an average of 11 kg of coffee per person per year in Europe and 1.2-1.4 kg per person in Mexico.
