COSTA Coffee in Foshan
On May 30th, COSTA, one of the five largest coffee chains in the world, built its first store full of Chinese Lingnan style in Lingnan Tiandi, Foshan, Guangdong, and announced its official entry into the Foshan market. Ms. LOUISE SMALLEY, Director of Whitbread Group and Director of Whitebread Group, and Mr. Jeff Sun, Director of Yuedaga Shijia South District, introduced to the media and guests the unique style and design of COSTA Lingnan Tiandi Store, which is the first interior design work in China using the combination of Chinese classical elements and British culture. This announces that COSTA will be able to experience authentic handmade coffee full of English style in a Chinese-style atmosphere in the future. The collision of different cultures will certainly lead to a different coffee experience.
In 1971, Sergio Costa and Bruno Costa, brothers in constant pursuit of success, founded COSTA Bakery (COSTA Roastery) in the UK, started their new business and started the legendary road of the COSTA brand. From the opening of the first COSTA store in 1978 to the opening of COSTA's first foreign branch in Dubai in 1999, COSTA continues to grow while strictly controlling the quality of coffee. Today, COSTA has more than 1900 stores in 26 countries around the world. In 2006, the aroma of COSTA coffee came to China across the ocean. In just 6 years, it quickly covered nearly 200 stores in many cities. COSTA's foray into the Pearl River Delta market is undoubtedly another milestone for its coffee empire.
At the scene, Jeff introduced to you: the overall design of Lingnan Tiandi Store in Foshan is inspired by Lingnan culture and the overall local vertical culture, and extends from the imported spirit of one of Lingnan culture. Indoor integral materials are mainly made of environmental protection materials of nanmu and bamboo. Indoor color only uses 1-2 kinds of white and gray as the overall background, highlighting the natural style of environmental protection and harmony in the room. This is also a scene from the movie Ip Man. From the green brick rubble in Lingnan architectural culture to wooden door frames, from Western-style colored transparent glass windows to gray brick eaves with local flavor, all retain the characteristics of Chinese civilization.
On the other hand, every small detail in the store also reflects the flavor of COSTA English coffee culture. Exaggerated pop style coffee bean poster wall, wide Baotou single back sofa, exquisite black wooden frame decoration hanging paintings, all bring COFFEE LOVERS a comfortable coffee atmosphere all the time.
In the design of indoor seating area, different customer needs are taken into account. For example, family customers, business customers, travel, companionship customers and so on. The sharing space of black glazed floor tiles and tall ceilings can fully meet the needs of 4-6 customers. If you are willing to spend an afternoon in the store to enjoy a good coffee time, you can also choose the sofa seat on the second floor, the carpeted area brings incomparable warmth and intimate.
In addition, in order to express the sincerity of entering the Foshan market, COSTA's coffee quality teacher also led the guests to understand, make and taste the coffee. From the selection and grinding of coffee beans to the weight of coffee powder, from the heating temperature and time of milk to the selection of different coffee cups, every detail is strictly required. Creative inspiration and great enthusiasm can make every cup of coffee have a soul, and only the coffee with a soul can let consumers enjoy the essence of high-quality coffee. This is not only the primary belief of becoming a COSTA coffee quality teacher, but also the requirement and expectation of every employee of COSTA.

Yunnan coffee traditional processing techniques
Yufa, which opened in the 1960s and has a history of more than 50 years, is like stepping into a time tunnel. The machines displayed and used in the store have been used for more than half a century, and the old appliances have recovered their old flavor. Fang found that old appliances are not purely nostalgia, but the accumulation of traditional wisdom of the older generation. Homemade coffee originated from a Hainan master and has been handed down to this day. It is also the main coffee supplier boss of the old villagers in the town.

Several kinds of coffee defective beans are introduced.
Moldy beans: because of incomplete drying, or damp in the process of transportation and storage, cyan and white molds grow, which sometimes make the beans stick together. If these moldy beans are not removed, they will produce moldy smell. Dead beans: beans with abnormal results. The color is not easy to change because of baking, so it is easy to distinguish. The flavor is thin, as harmful as silver skin, and will become a peculiar smell.
