"Let Coffee" is probably the least coffee shop in Zhengzhou. First of all, from the location point of view, you will have a feeling: self-willed! In fact, the people and stories you see below have a "wayward flavor".

If you want to come here for a cup of coffee, it will take at least half an hour to start from the city. Located on the edge of the Yellow River, even if you find this remote community, it has no signs, no advertising, and looks just like the surrounding houses from the outside-if you don't know the owner, it may still be difficult for you to find this place.

Fortunately, there is no shortage of visitors.

At the moment of pushing the door open, there was a strong aroma of coffee.

Walking into this coffee art space, the walls and floors are pure white. There are more than 50 different coffee instruments, all kinds of coffee equipment and foreign language picture albums become the notes of this pure white space.

"Jean Coffee is not open to the public. It is all introduced by friends. But as long as someone comes, I will receive it warmly. " The owner of the coffee is Liu Rang, who wears a white linen jacket, dark green linen trousers, short curly hair and a lot of artist's fairy style.

The first floor is the coffee studio, the second floor is the art exhibition hall, and the third floor is the oil painting studio.

However, the seemingly elegant Liu Rang uses "capriciousness" to describe his personality. In 2007, stuck at the age of 30, Liu Rang Shanshan ended her career at the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts. In the same year, he received the first mocha pot in his life, which was a graduation gift from a friend from Japan.

Oddly enough, he had an indescribable curiosity and impulse in the face of this coffee equipment across the ocean: "I know, I'm going to start making coffee."

It was also since then that Liu Rang ran wildly on this road. Like a child's love of toys, he began to collect coffee equipment.

Over the years, he has been buying a variety of fever-grade coffee equipment, from roasters to grinders, from Italian thickeners to hand flushing and siphoning, turning his home into a small coffee museum. "look at this little fan, has it been cute?" He said with a smile.

Three years ago, Liu Rang quit a stable and well-paid job. "We should respect our feelings. There is no point in doing things we don't like."

I spent a whole year visiting and studying everywhere, and now I concentrate on painting and making coffee. Speaking of which, the "three nots", who had no car, no house, and three unmarried, were suddenly in high spirits: "everyone has a different way of getting satisfaction. My way is to make coffee."

The process from bean selection, baking, grinding to extraction is actually tedious and complicated.

"in order not to wronge the machine, I buy the best beans in the world. In order for these beans to perform to the extreme, every detail must be constantly calibrated. " Some of these high-quality coffee beans are more than ten times more expensive than ordinary coffee beans on the market.

When his friends and classmates were buying cars and houses, he spent most of his savings on coffee equipment and beans, and the most expensive coffee machine was even enough to buy a BMW.

Fortunately, the changes in taste brought about by each debugging far outweigh the affluence of material life for him. "I like the taste of amplitude, and the entrance of the coffee shows a layered sense of sour, sweet and fragrant, which is intoxicating."

He can't fall asleep until after two o'clock in the morning every day. He has passed American time.

"what I do is not a service thing." He said that the most difficult thing for a man to satisfy is himself. Sometimes before going to bed, can not help but "shake two cups", insomnia is almost his daily life, "what I want to do is to improve the quality of the whole industry."

For Liu Rang, painting is similar to making coffee-both require full dedication to work.

But these two things are actually completely different. "Coffee is between abstract works of art and standardized products. It is living, warm and human." Through different tastes of coffee, he expresses the level, color and smell of life. "in any case, I will hold on to these two things until the end of my life."

"insomnia is a good idea." At 02:30 in the morning, he routinely posted a moments, accompanied by a picture of a coffee cup in his hand.
