Coffee of origin in Colombia
As you know, Colombia coffee has a high sales and recognition rating in the United States. Colombia coffee has been equated with good coffee in the United States. That's about one and a half times more likely. Colombia coffee is generally well balanced, with a good consistency and a bright acidity and spice flavor. But there's one annoying thing about many Colombia coffees: They can be found all over the street. It tastes decent, but it doesn't taste good (if they're freshly baked, not suspiciously fresh).
So, are they good Colombia coffees? The answer is,"they" are, but finding what you call "them" may take a while. Good Colombia is not simply sold as Supremo or Excelso. If a good cup of Colombia coffee is found from a certain place, the good stuff will be labeled with the name of that place. There are times when regular Colombia coffee occasionally tastes good, but the odds are too small, and it takes a handful of regular beans to find one cup at a time. Last year's average Colombia wasn't good, but this year's is very good. I recommend so many varieties of Colombia to you based on my taste, I would not normally recommend so many.
Colombia coffee rating keywords. I'm one of those people who found Colombia's coffee hierarchy outdated. Other Central and South American coffee grades are generally determined by altitude, not by bean size. Supremo and Excelso are based solely on the size of the beans, which makes no sense, because the bigger beans don't necessarily taste better. In fact, different bean sizes mixed (but not necessarily), but cup test results may be better. Since we were blindfolded and just talking about the cup, bean size wasn't so critical and wasn't at all a factor in which Colombia coffee I chose from a sample of 30-40 for this year's staple.
Tips on how to choose Colombia: Colombia has various grades of coffee beans for different markets: lower grades are used by trade and food manufacturers. Regular and custom beans are defined varieties of estate beans or small-field beans harvested at the end of the longest day. The latter has only been available in recent years (before that, good coffee beans shipped with some less good coffee beans). This means that there are special varieties that tell us what a good coffee is, named after the place of origin, such as Huila, Medellin, Antioquia,Popayan, etc. No more arguing about why Colombia coffee is best. The ones mentioned above are all good, but recent samples have a tendency to be more washed beans. There is also a tendency to use non-traditional varieties, such as crossing existing varieties in Colombia, which increases yield but reduces the quality of the cup. Our advice is to buy the best Colombia coffee we can find: traditional varieties, manor beans and small-grown beans, as well as specially selected beans. No doubt I drink other beans too, and may stumble upon a good one. But I don't think you'll find any more of those all-in beans on our quotation sheet, Tom said.
This year's evaluation of beans:
Colombia coffee has significant north-south differences. Officials told us that we had our lowest harvest in five years, that the beans came from small farmers and that the Supremo-Excelso system had been abandoned. Some of the qualities of these beans are as follows: they must wait for Colombia coffee to be harvested, and they can no longer be panned when they are needed. We had no choice but to buy: waiting for the harvest on the mountain. When you test these small origin beans by cup, you will find that in some places in Bucaramangas in the north and Huilas, Cauca and Nariño in the south, there are always buyers who are available for reference.
