After the soybean meal option was listed on the Dalian Commodity Exchange at the end of March, the White Sugar option was listed on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange on the 19th. There are eight white sugar option contract months listed on the first day, namely SR707, SR709, SR711, SR801, SR803, SR805, SR807 and SR809.
On the same day, Fang Xinghai said at the white sugar option listing ceremony that sugar production is related to the lives of more than 40 million farmers in China's border and poor areas, and the sustainable development of the white sugar industry is crucial to the economic development of the relevant areas.
He said that listing white sugar options will help to improve the price discovery mechanism of white sugar futures market, enrich the risk management means of sugar farmers and industrial enterprises, and stabilize the process of sugar production and planting.
Fang Xinghai also said that with regard to promoting the construction of China's futures and options market, the CSRC will also be market-oriented and launch more new varieties of futures and options in due course. He believes that the more perfect the market trading tools and products, the higher the transaction efficiency.
In 2017, as the first year of Chinese commodity options, soybean meal options and white sugar options have been listed one after another, which makes the investment tools in China's futures market more abundant.
