He said that listing white sugar options will help to improve the price discovery mechanism of white sugar futures market, enrich the risk management means of sugar farmers and industrial enterprises, and stabilize the process of sugar production and planting.

Fang Xinghai also said that with regard to promoting the construction of China's futures and options market, the CSRC will also be market-oriented and launch more new varieties of futures and options in due course. He believes that the more perfect the market trading tools and products, the higher the transaction efficiency.

In 2017, as the first year of Chinese commodity options, soybean meal options and white sugar options have been listed one after another, which makes the investment tools in China's futures market more abundant.
