Kopi=coffee+ condensed milk

In Singapore, the traditional coffee brewing method is to put condensed milk and granulated sugar at the bottom of the cup in advance, and then pour in the boiling hot coffee. The shopkeeper will not stir it for you, but will give you a spoon and do it yourself.

Kopi Clearee + Sugar + Light Milk

In fact, C means "fresh" in Hainan dialect. In the early years, most of the population of Singapore came from China's Hainan, Chaoshan, Fujian and other places, so most of the grandmothers and grandfathers here spoke Minnan dialect.

This kind of Kopi is much lighter, and it is the first choice for many Singaporean girls.

Kopi Odyssey + Sugar

But Kopi O is only added sugar but no milk. It is not our understanding of western black coffee.

Kopi O Kosong=black coffee

Kosong means "emptiness" in Malay. Let me tell you a little secret, it's not difficult to read Malay, even if you don't know what it means, look at its spelling and read it according to the pronunciation of Hanyu Pinyin is basically ok. So Kosong is basically pronounced as "buckle and send".

Kopi Gao= thick coffee

Gao is Fujian dialect, meaning thick, and its pronunciation is the same as "do".

Kopi Poh= thin coffee

Poh means thin, and its pronunciation is the same as the "thin" of "mint".

Kopi Siew Dai=coffee is less sweet.

Siew Dai means less sweet, and the pronunciation of Siew is a little strange. The word "siyou" can be pronounced quickly. The pronunciation of Dai is "at least", and "miss you at least" means less sugar in coffee.

Kopi Gar Dai=coffee sweetening

Gar Dai means adding more sugar. Gar pronounces "ga" and Gar Dai pronounces "Gah".
