Dollhouse Tropical Oasis Cafe: MADERO CAFé in Guatemala

Confined space, fingers up and down, frowning waiting, helplessness, we all have. Especially when exposed to the heat wave and the car sea, the car body is like a tortoise in the tropical grassland, the tortoise moves slowly. Traffic jam, so that the scenery overlooking the left and right is only boring, leaving only the blue sky outside the window, can imagine stretch, to feel the vastness. Turn the white clouds into the paradise you want in your heart, and the shapes of the clouds are built as you wish: leaves that block the sun, fluffy soft sofas, refreshing drinks, delightful animals.

Located in Guatemala City, next to the most congested highway, there is a colorful and pleasant oasis paradise-"Madero Caf é". Taller KEN, a design team from New York / Guatemala, is known for its playful and interesting design style and is good at connecting sociality with local culture; this time it excavates Guatemalan elements and totems, using material textures and greenhouse-like architectural structures to create whimsical tropical cafes.

Open-air design, so that the paint of green apple green steel frame, set up 1.5 Michael's broad field of vision, enough to hold all kinds of tropical planting, standing indoors, hanging, like a huge tropical greenhouse rainforest. Look at that! Everything is so magical and realistic that it is not surprising that wild animals are found during the meal; the green is dotted with bright red walls, vintage bright yellow cars, sky blue dining tables and chairs, and space planning is distinguished by color blocks. Like the matching color floor tiles of the playground, it seems to be placed at will, but it is a sign to guide the direction of the guests' seats. even if the entry is attracted by the strong vision in front of the eyes, it will not be dazzling, sweeping the dreary indoor environment design, completely full of vitality.

Indoor planting releases natural Findox, and the fresh atmosphere hangs over the whole coffee shop, where you can choose a square table like Lego and experience the retro American industrial style; you can also choose semicircular open box seating, colliding sofas and dome hanging lights, making the exotic atmosphere more rich. For the whole building, the exterior chooses custom-made folding shutters, and the steel plate and bracket are woven into each other through tenons, while the exposed bracket with horizontal and vertical structure, which is located in the central space of the cafe, is an open roof that can introduce skylight, and Rain Water is collected at the same time. Continue to be planted in the tropics to keep it alive.

Not only is it an oasis resort that people yearn for after the chaos and traffic jams in the city, Madero Caf é is more like a fairy tale dream-it can be an absurd but fascinating comedy in a mini-theater at any time, an antique toy house with magnified proportions, and an interesting cafe located in the real world. In the middle of it, traveling through daily life that is different from the outside world, even if it's just a cup of coffee or a meal, it's not interesting.

The red exterior wall of Madero Caf é and the three-dimensional car device that rushes out of the wall are already local landmarks and can be detected on the local highway. The shop is located next to the highway, which not only provides a rest environment and meals for people who come and go to enjoy the fun world, but also enjoys a few short-term visual entertainment for driving in busy traffic.
