As the number of coffee lovers continues to rise, the demand for coffee quality is also increasing. In Hong Kong, where the weather is very hot, it really doesn't taste like hurrying workers to walk around with hot coffee. They would rather choose a cup of high-quality frozen coffee to refresh themselves in the sultry mornings and afternoons.
In both coffee shops and new bookstores, the emergence of ice-drop coffee has indeed led to the trend of drinking coffee. Ice drop coffee is more expensive than ordinary frozen coffee. What's so special about ice drop coffee?
Iced coffee Iced Coffee: as the name implies, just add ice to ordinary hot coffee and serve a cup of frozen coffee in front of you.
Ice drop coffee Cold Brewed Coffee: ice drop coffee is extracted by the way of "frozen" + "drop". When the coffee beans are ground into coarse powder, they will be soaked in a drop of leaking ice water (or greenhouse water). The soaking process will take at least a few hours, sometimes even all day, while the soaked coffee bean powder will be filtered, and the rest is iced coffee. Because the coffee has never been heated, its acid has not been dissolved at all, so it has no bitter taste, and the coffee tastes mellow and smooth.
The price of ice drop coffee is higher than that of ordinary frozen coffee because it takes more skill to make ice drop coffee and takes more time to extract coffee oil, ingredients and caffeine.
Japanese iced coffee: of course, not all iced coffee is the same. Friends who have been to Japanese coffee shops in Japan or Hong Kong will know Japanese iced coffee. The barista pours the heated coffee into a filter cup, which leaks the cup containing ice. This method of making coffee is not ice drop coffee because it has been heated. Having said that, some people think that some ingredients of coffee beans need to be heated before they can be released, so some coffee lovers think that Japanese iced coffee tastes better than iced coffee. Japanese method can preserve the taste of coffee and avoid sour taste. But retain the unique aroma of hot coffee.
Everyone has different tastes of coffee, so it can't be said that a certain kind of iced coffee is the best. In general, iced coffee contains less caffeine than coffee made from the same amount of beans. If you are a coffee lover and have never tried a real ice drop of coffee, try it this summer.
