Berlin is a rough but vibrant city, covered in graffiti, unlike Paris or Tokyo, which is completely different from our idea of a capital. The winter roads here are always cold and gray, always thinking of a cup of hot chocolate or coffee to warm up; fortunately, in Neukölln street, Café Two and Two brings coffee and hot chocolate rich warmth.

Café Two and Two combines French pastries with Japanese stationery and a mix of the two. You can order a cup of French hot chocolate with small Japanese rice balls, or you can eat French chicken cake Financier with a cup of traditional Japanese matcha. The pastries are handmade homemade French desserts such as Cannelés, Tartes and Quiches; the daily menu is also varied and the mix is always fun to play with. The pastry chef inherited the traditional French recipes from Nancy in northeastern France and was a good friend of the owner; the hot baking was as warm as the pastry chef himself, always responding kindly to our nagging questions.

While the pastry chef shared his food pairing ideas, he also happily talked about his acquaintance with the two shopkeepers. Café Two and Two was founded by two girls-Eri from Tokyo and Tose from Paris. Eri is a painter who lives with her husband in Berlin, while Tose works as a fashion designer in Paris, and later meets her current boyfriend in Berlin and decides to stay in Berlin-Eri and Tose meet in a foreign country. Surprised by each other's equal enthusiasm for coffee, the two strangers boldly and firmly opened Café Two and Two, and created an atmosphere different from other cafes through their own culture.

The meaning of the store name is also quite interesting, with Berlin as the base coordinate, France and Japan as the latitude and longitude, two places combine two kinds of food, two cultures and two concepts, coffee shop and stationery shop-everything here starts with "2". In winter, hot matcha latte and black sesame latte are also the result of this twin; in hot summer, there is a special lavender mixed with lemonade. Even the tables and chairs are paired and there are details everywhere-these details echo Eri's homesickness. Find a comfortable seat in this small space, let the idea stroll, immerse in the warm atmosphere of the building that is different from the general cafe style; the light here shows more like the structure of a friend's home-Japanese sense of space and elegant French plot, thus becoming a beautiful combination that every traveler drifting in a foreign country yearned for.
