Background:

Iced coffee is time-consuming to extract, but its taste is worth the effort. Filtron cold brewers are the cheapest and easiest way to make your own iced coffee at home. The device consists of a jug body, a white plastic filter, a lid and a small rubber stopper. The extraction process takes a total of 12 hours, but a refreshing cup of coffee in the summer heat is definitely worth the patience and wait.

Step 1

Measure 2 liters of room temperature water.

Step 2

Plug the small hole at the bottom of the cold bubble kettle with a rubber stopper from the outside.

Step 3

Wet the wool filter and fill the circular groove in the bottom of the cold-bubble kettle. Filter cotton should be placed evenly in order to achieve better extraction results.

Step 4

Spread out the filter paper and place it in the cold bubble pot, so that the filter paper is as flat as possible against the wall of the pot.

Step 5

Weigh about 454 grams of coffee beans.

Step 6

Grind coffee beans to a particle size suitable for Aeropress, somewhere between drip coffee and espresso. Use bean grinders of adequate capacity.

Step 7

Pour the ground coffee into the cold brewer and gently shake the cold brewer to evenly distribute the ground coffee.

step 8

Pour water slowly into the pot in circles.

step 9

Lightly press the coffee powder with a wooden stirring spoon or butter knife until it is completely covered with water.

step 10

Put the white plastic filter into the cold bubble pot, and then cover it with a lid to isolate impurities from the outside world. There is a small hole in the middle of the upper cover, and water can also be added from here, but the extraction effect of adding water first is better. Cover and let stand for 12 hours.

step 11

After 12 hours, the coffee filtrate is decanted. It takes two people, one to hang the cold brew over the coffee bottle and one to remove the rubber stopper from the bottom of the cold brew. It usually takes a few seconds for the coffee filtrate to start flowing out.

step 12

Pour coffee into a glass filled with ice and enjoy delicious coffee.
