Step 1

When grinding coffee beans, the granules should be thicker.

Put the coffee powder and 43 grams of dried chicory in the pan.

Add about 2350 milliliters of filtered cold water and gently stir with a wooden spoon to soak the coffee powder completely.

Cover the pot and let stand at room temperature for 12 hours.

After 12 hours, remove the solidified layer from the surface with a stirring spoon, and then sift the liquid in the pan. The sifted espresso liquid will be a bit like engine oil, although it doesn't sound good, but it's normal.

Step 6

Add 85 grams of syrup to the espresso solution and stir well with a stirring spoon.

Add ice cubes and milk when drinking. The ratio of espresso to milk is about 1:1. After adding milk, it is best to drink it within 1 hour to taste the best flavor.

The concentrate after adding syrup can only be kept fresh for 1-2 days. The unsweetened concentrate can be preserved for 5-7 days.
