Have you ever heard of a story or example of success without ambition?

I heard a friend tell a story, a true story:

When he was a senior in high school, several students in his class scored quite well, and their mock exam scores were all within 50 in the whole school. One day before the joint examination, these students talked about the problem of filling in volunteers. One student said that I must read the Department of Electrical Engineering of Taiwan University; one student said that I only fill in Taiwan University; one said that it would be good if it was public; and another said that it was close to my home. After the joint exam results were released, they roughly matched their wishes, but the students who got into NTU's electrical engineering department scored the worst on the mock exam! The classmate who said the university close to home was admitted to a private university.

This is a true story about determination!

Is ambition important?

Have you ever made any ambition in your life? How many times have you set your sights? Have you ever set your sights on success? If you've made a resolution, think about it. When was the last time you made a resolution? And what happened?

Or do you think you can succeed without ambition, so is success what you want now?

I have a client, twelve years ago, Ming volunteers graduated from college, after two years of work, one day chat with me, suddenly said, he wants to take an examination of architects, I said the job is not good? And I'm going to get married again. Will it affect me? He smiled and said, I want to do what I really want to do! Then he went to the night department of architecture at the Taipei Institute of Technology, then took the second technical examination, then took the architect exam. It took five years, and now he runs between Taipei and Shanghai.

Many classmates and colleagues can't understand why he put a good job, good income, to choose a completely unfamiliar field, give up what he learned, start over?

I couldn't understand it at first; but I know that most people are doing jobs they don't really want to do, just because they're well paid or used to it, or for whatever reason they have to. So was I! I will make coffee because the import wholesale business investment amount is large, so I choose to invest less coffee equipment retail, and by chance will enter the coffee industry, but also because the income is good and continue, but when faced with bottlenecks, my immediate decision is to leave, the reason I leave is because I have no concept of coffee, I should not waste time on things that are not interested. I didn't like coffee at the time; although I was in the business; although I was still catchy about coffee this way and that; although I knew all the coffee and all the equipment, methods, techniques of coffee.

But I don't know coffee!

I have been in this industry for nearly 20 years, many early large and medium plate retailers are customers, I know all kinds of catering equipment, I know all kinds of coffee brewing methods, I have actually been in the coffee business for nearly 10 years.

But I don't know coffee!

Do you think it's funny?

I don't think it's funny at all. What's funny is that we all think we know what we know and what we're in, just like those politicians who think they know Taiwan and say what Taiwan wants.

Do we really know Taiwan, or is Taiwan just a stepping stone?

Also, do you really know your job, your industry, or is it just a stepping stone for you?

Looking back, I was running a coffee shop with no purpose, only to make a profit. When the income didn't meet expectations, I was like most people; I abandoned the original and looked for a new way out. Just like those politicians who want to profit from it, and then rush to make a profit, instead of asking for it, they abandon the original and turn to a new one, even the original enemy; even in the name of aligning with the general environment!

Did it ever occur to you that you treat your job like one of those politicians?

What they care about is not whether Taiwan can stay far away for a long time, but whether they can stand out and profit! Just like when you work and open a shop, what you care about is not whether the job or the shop can last for a long time, but how much money you can earn.

After all, I didn't leave! Now I know coffee is after precipitation thinking some consciousness to start again only to understand!

So, I want to tell you solemnly now, if you want to open a cafe, you must be determined!

I want to keep this cafe going for generations!

I am determined that my descendants will pass on this cafe!

"What kind of cafe is this?"

If you know of a coffee shop where the current owner is the tenth generation, and the tenth generation owner points to the previous owners on the wall and says how his ancestors are, and then he says he's proud of them;

How do you feel about that?

Of course, we don't have to aspire to open a coffee shop, but our theme is coffee, so we only talk about coffee, but if the career and work you are doing now are not worth it, inconvenient, do not want to be passed down from generation to generation, do you want you to see the future?

Smart, visionary leaders can see the future,

He sees the future because it is his will, his will.

We mortals don't see the future because we don't volunteer! Some didn't dare to, or didn't even think about it. They even said in disdain what they wanted to do!

At the beginning, a person made a volunteer, he thought: "Every family should have a computer, every computer should have a set of my software!" If I remember correctly, this man is now the richest man in the world!

Think about it! What if every household cabinet should have a packet of my coffee beans every month, and everyone should have a cup of my coffee every day?

Don't underestimate coffee!

Coffee beans are currently the second most important commodity after oil. Oil will run out one day, but coffee will be needed as long as humans exist.
