Grind coffee at home
It's easy to grind coffee at home. There are many different kinds of grinding equipment on the market. They don't look terrible and take up only a small amount of space.
The oldest method is to mash coffee beans to the point where they can be washed and mixed with a mortar and poles. Using this method will take a long time and the effect is not long-lasting, the ground coffee shop is only suitable for long-term brewing or brewing Turkish coffee.
Grindstone is also an older method-this is probably the best tool. It comes from the Middle East and is a handheld cylinder in which two grindstones of the same size press coffee beans in two corrugated steel plates.
When it comes down, it is a wooden box abrasive. Put the coffee beans on top, grind them, and remove them from a small drawer at the bottom. This kind of machine is worth a little more money. It is not only durable, but also capable of continuous fine grinding.
The fourth major model is a wall-mounted grinder or shredder suitable for use on the table. They are sturdy metal instruments made by Spong.
The next set of machines, typically Gaggia MDF, powered by electric motors, retailed for about $200 at the time of this writing (1995). MDF has 36 different grinding equipment, and the biggest advantage of this grinder is that it can grind the fine, medium or coarse quality coffee you want. If you have a manual grinder, measure the exact number of coffee beans you need in advance, and then grind out the quality you want at different times. If you drink espresso (ESpresso), you need to use a more expensive machine because manual grinders cannot continuously grind fine coffee.
It takes 7 seconds for rough grinding, 10 seconds for medium grinding, and 15 seconds for fine grinding of coffee.
Blades and grindstones
There is no doubt that the grindstone can grind coffee of better quality than the blade. The blade cannot crush or grind the coffee beans. It can only cut the coffee beans, first into ribbons, then into irregular fragments, and there will be very fine powder around the knife edge. But there are large particles in the center of the machine.
However, freshly cut coffee beans have a much better flavor than ground coffee stored for a long time. The blade grinder has one more advantage than the grindstone grinder, which is cheaper. The retail price of a manual Bosch grinder is about one of Gaja's MDF's.
If you have the opportunity to compare the flavor differences between the two grinding methods of coffee, you may marvel at the extraordinary quality of grindstone grinding.
Manual blade grinder is suitable for holidays, villas or trips. When in use, do not press the button for a long time, but should grind for 2-5 seconds to prevent the beans from getting too hot. Gently shake or pat the grinder after grinding to sift out the fines of coffee.
