It is a boutique coffee green bean cooperative located in Gedeo area of Yegashefi. There are approximately 700 smallholder farmers in the Gedeo region who send their harvested coffee fruit to the cooperative's processing plant for centralized processing. The average area cultivated by these small-scale growers is 2 hectares. The total area under coffee cultivation in the region is approximately 888 hectares. The planting height is 1900~2100 meters above sea level. The local climate is temperate, with temperatures of 25 ° C during the day and 18 ° C at night.
They planted coffee trees alongside subsistence crops and livestock crops. The main shade trees in the area are Acacia, Podocarpus, etc.
The cooperative's processing plant mainly processes coffee fruits harvested from neighboring farmers. Before processing coffee fruit, farmers are required to pick coffee fruit according to strict standards, and they only pick ripe red fruit. This is a very critical quality control link for fine coffee. Co-op beans have been well received over the past few years. Green beans treated with natural have strawberry sweetness and blueberry flavor, while green beans treated with washed have citrus and apple-like sweetness and acidity.
