Blue Lake Batak in Lindong Province is a famous volcanic lake less than two hours' drive from Medan, the largest city in North Sumatra. It is the largest volcanic lake in the world, and its hinterland is very large. So the characteristic style of coffee from the north to the east will be very large, and this blue Batak is the highest grade of coffee in the Lindong producing area. At present, the people who grow coffee in the mountains near Lake Toba are Batak rather than Manning, while Blue is called Blue Batak or Blue Eye Manning because its raw beans have a little turquoise appearance, and the lake is clear blue. Under this semi-wet and semi-dry peeling and wet washing method, the coffee farm machine removes the peel and pulp of the red cherry fruit. There is still a lot of mucus on the coffee beans, and then it is stored in a fermentation tank for about a day (24 hours). When the fermentation is complete, the attached mucus can be easily washed away with water. Then when the sun-drying reaches about 30% to 35% water content, the coffee bean shell is removed and it can be sold on the market. When the shell of the coffee bean is removed in this semi-wet and semi-dry state, the bean itself reveals a unique dark blue, which reduces the acidity and increases the alcohol thickness (body) of the coffee, making this unique Indonesian coffee.

Horas Tano Batak
Tano Batak is the traditional public land of the Batak people. Horas is a word often used by the Batak people to say hello to each other, meaning to wish each other a long life. So Horas Tano Batak symbolizes "greetings from the Batak". Traditionally, the so-called Tano Batak consists of five "groups" around Lake Toba, such as: Karo (Carlo), Simalungun (Sima Longong), Toba (Toba). And a southward migration to the Mandailing (Manning) group around the town of Sipirok ~ this bean is produced in 100% of the producing areas around Lake Toba (e.g. Sidikalang,Simalungun …)
Among them is the Lintong producing area on the southwest side. This area, called Lindong, is also the residence of Toba Batak (Batak-Toba Group). It is the entire Lake District around Toba, with the highest average elevation (from 1450 meters to 1550 meters). Batak produces wet peeling (Wet-Hulling) coffee with the thickest and lowest flavor!
