Sonora Manor (Hacienda Sonora) is a century-old manor run by Alberto Guardia and Diego Guardia.

Sonora Manor is located in the western and central valleys of Costa Rica, and its operation places special emphasis on environmental protection. Of the 100 hectares of land, 35 hectares remain as virgin forests and 20 hectares grow sugar cane; what is more surprising is that all the electricity used in the manor comes from the hydroelectric equipment in the manor. the excess electricity is also provided free of charge to the employees working on the manor, and the whole estate is like a small community, with wages, free accommodation and health care provided by the manor.

Sonora Manor can be said to be the forerunner of varieties and treatments in Costa Rica, and the combination of varieties and treatments produced every year can be said to be a must for baked beans in Europe and the United States.

There are seven different varieties of coffee in the park, including Bourbon, Red Catuai, Yellow Catuai, Venecia, Villa Sarchi, Villalobos, Geisha, and only honey-treated and sun-treated coffee is produced.

The coffee cherries produced by Sonora Manor are processed in its own microprocessing plant, and strict ripe fruit screening procedures are carried out when picking, and then each link pays great attention to detail according to different treatment methods. finally, it is necessary to carry out strict manual work to remove defective beans, which is the main reason why the flavor in the cup is so rich while retaining cleanliness.
