Brazil Coffee Manor-Santa Lucia Santa Lucia Sun

Good Brazilian coffee is really rare! Especially in Brazil, where you can make it by hand and drink comfortably, which is why Brazilian coffee is rarely on the shelves.

This very unique Santa Lucia Manor (Santa Lucia) won sixth in the 2016 Brazilian Cup of Excellence Cup, with a high score of 89.53 by international judges, only less than 1 point (90.50) short of the first place. If you know the degree of competition in the Brazilian extraordinary Cup, you will probably be looking forward to this Brazilian coffee.

The owner of Santa Lucia is Alexander Garcia (Alexandre Alvarenga Garcia). When he bought the 62-hectare estate in 1994, it was mainly used as a pasture. In 1998, the Garcia family first started growing coffee, growing only 8 hectares. So far, the manor has a total of 123 hectares, of which 30 hectares grow coffee, with an average annual yield of only 1000 bags. Other parts of the manor have primeval forests, pastures, lakes, springs, protected water sources, and a very good environment. The manor is 1250 meters above sea level, which is quite high in Brazil.

The coffee produced in Santa Lucia shows excellent flavor and strong sweetness from the harvest season of 2016. The nearby Serra das Abelhas Mountains bring microclimatic conditions (terroir), which interact with bean species, giving the coffee a special and complex flavor. Coffee fresh fruit is picked manually, which is relatively rare in Brazil, and the screening after picking is also carried out manually.

If Sul de Minas is the coffee king "Brazil", the crown: (more than 90% of the winning estates in the 2014 COE late harvest group are from South Minas -) then Carmo de Minas is the biggest jewel in the crown! (four of the top five winners in the 2014 COE late harvest group are from Camo.)

Behind the invincible glory, in addition to the unique local excellent conditions, there are a pair of cousins-Luiz and Jacques, who shuttle around the town of Camo, are absolutely indispensable souls!

The cousins are not only the current operators of Sert ã o Coffee Farms, a well-known local coffee farm group with a century history. It is also the most active participant and contributor to the Brazilian COE competition for the first time since 2000.

Almost all the activities or undertakings they have participated in have developed amazingly: for example, the Wild Coffee Group currently has six well-known estates (including Sert ã o Santa Lucia,Santa In ê s), with an area of 1000 hectares! Then there is Camo Coffee, which has become a member of Swiss raw bean manufacturer Ecom, and COE, which began in Brazil in 2000 and has expanded to 12 countries around the world.
