Last Updated: 2024/11/08, The deeper you go into the field of coffee, the more you feel that coffee is really a kind of "organization." it has the characteristics of positioning itself, and it is not easy to taste. Different people in different environments will make a world of difference to the same kind of coffee. And maybe to some extent, everyone is "right." The good impression of a cup of coffee is not just how delicious it is, but also how delicious it is.

The deeper you delve into the field of coffee, the more you find that coffee is actually a "carrier", its own characteristics are difficult to locate, not easy to judge, different environments, different people, the same coffee will make a very different evaluation, and may to some extent everyone is "right". A cup of coffee gives people a good or bad impression not only by its delicious degree, but also by many external factors, as well as intangible things added to this cup of coffee.

Ask anyone, what is the most memorable and wonderful cup of coffee they have ever had in their life? You may hear something like this: "One winter, I got lost in the mountains of Hokkaido. When I was wet, cold and helpless, I came across a small house in the mountains. The owner kindly greeted me and made me a cup of hot coffee. This is the most unforgettable and delicious cup of coffee I have ever had in my life." At this time, a cup of coffee plays the role of "carrier", carrying the care of the owner, carrying warmth and hope.

If you ask what coffee is, it's coffee: a magical vehicle. Coffee can carry all kinds of thoughts, messages, emotions, atmosphere and temperature, and no food can play a better role than coffee, which is why people love coffee so much. No matter how delicious the coffee, the exquisite flavor, is only a bridge to the news, not the ultimate goal.

When you understand that coffee is the vehicle, you can understand why a favorite coffee shop needs a soul. The so-called soul refers to a "quantity energy" that naturally spreads from the inside out of this cafe, so that everyone who walks in to serve coffee can feel and receive this message, and is resonated, causing resonance, and finally telling the brain "This is a good cafe, I want to come again!" When others ask why you love this cafe, your answer may have a variety of ways, the answer from the mouth may be "coffee is good","the boss is careful","the environment is comfortable, the service is very kind" this kind of established reason, but you may not notice yourself, what really attracts you is actually something it emits from the inside out, that is, we say "the soul of the cafe".

Recently, I visited a small cafe in a remote town. It didn't have beautiful decoration, no romantic elegance, only small space, inconspicuous bar tables and chairs. I was amazed at how busy this little cafe was on holiday, with guests pushing open the sliding door and filling up quickly after I sat down. Inside the bar was a middle-aged man who looked like his father. He had a serious expression and seemed a little nervous because he was very serious. He was carefully brewing the single-serve coffee ordered by the customer. Next to him, a young girl who might be his sister was busy operating the coffee machine. Her movements were skilled and precise. It was also obvious that she was very careful, afraid that she might not be able to brew the cup of coffee properly if she was not careful.

The busy people in the shop are not only these two Barista, but also middle-aged uncle, slightly older aunt…It seems that the whole family is mobilized, which one is the protagonist? It turns out that the protagonist is standing quietly in the back, watching his family brew cup after cup of coffee. The owner is a patient of a rare disease, because of his interest and opened such a small cafe in the living room of the home, probably because business is getting better and better, in order to cope with the constant flow of guests, the family sympathizes with his physical condition and the whole family comes down together to make coffee.

My quiet, earnest dad (I guess he's the owner's father, correct me if I'm wrong) really takes every cup of coffee seriously and makes it carefully. Throw a few beans into the coffee grinder, grind them, hand them to the guest to taste the "dry aroma," carefully heat the cup with hot water, preheat the filter pot, and then brew the coffee with concentration and as if walking on thin ice. After cooking, pour a small cup to try to drink, sometimes not sure if this is OK, then pass it to the shopkeeper's son to try to drink, after confirming, hand over coffee to the guest, with a shy smile. How much coffee does the father drink a day to confirm quality? Such seriousness, such a little tension, really cute, but also very touching.

The younger sister (I don't know her relationship with the shopkeeper) is responsible for brewing Italian coffee. She moves skillfully but not artistically. Like the father, she controls every movement carefully. I ordered a cup of Espresso, and she brewed two cups at a time, tried it herself first, then brewed it again if she was dissatisfied, and handed it to the guest after double confirmation. Other family members who are nearby to help (?) She didn't idle either. She assiduously helped. The housewife who looked like a mother was also very kind and professional to guide each guest to order food and confirm that everyone ordered a drink suitable for themselves. Everyone in this small shop is very sincere about their work. How much energy.

All these scenes not only show the owner's serious intention to coffee, but also exude endless love from his family. I was deeply touched.

If I have visited many large and small cafes all over the world over the years, I think this cafe is undoubtedly one of the best. Because every cup of coffee they sell carries a lot of information, including the owner's persistent love for coffee, including the seriousness of every family member present to help, and most importantly, for their dearest family, willing to do anything, endless "love."

The mountain is not high, there is a fairy name. The value of a coffee shop is not in the decoration, atmosphere or even fame, as long as it has a soul coffee shop, it is the best coffee shop.
