The ear-hanging bag is a patented design developed by the Japanese. History of coffee with ears
In 1990, the earliest ear-hanging coffee was invented by Yamanaka Industrial Co., Ltd. of Japan, and a patent application was formally filed in the same year, but at that time, the ear-hanging was only unilateral.
In 1996, Daiki Corporation proposed an improved filter bag in which the ear hanging part was moved to the lower edge of the filter bag, but the ear hanging part was still only on one side of the filter bag.
In 1999, Daiki applied to the European Patent Office for an invention patent with double-sided ear parts. This improved design finally allowed the filter bag to stand stably at the mouth of the cup, and the opening of the filter bag could also be fully opened. This design concept has also become the mainstream of today's market.
In 2001, the Japanese invented the ear-bag coffee and registered a patent, which was subsequently introduced to the market. Due to its simplicity and portability, the brewed coffee tastes much more pure and fragrant than instant coffee. Today, ear-bag coffee has occupied 15% of the Japanese ordinary coffee market share.
The difference between instant coffee and ear coffee
(1) Instant coffee is a deeply processed coffee drink that can be dissolved directly in water and contains some chemical additives.
(2) Ear coffee is packaged in a bag made of nonwoven fabric with ground coffee powder. When drinking, you need to hang it on the mouth of the cup and brew it with boiling water. Coffee powder can be thrown away directly, sugar and milk need to add their own. This coffee is all natural, without any additives.
Their common feature is that they are easy to carry and easy to drink.
