How much water do you need for steaming?

The amount of water supplied during steaming depends on the amount of flour, and it is fine-tuned according to the baking degree of coffee beans. Normally, as long as the same amount of water is needed, deep roasting requires more water, shallow roasted beans need less water, hard beans are less likely to absorb water, softer beans are more likely to absorb water, and experienced boilers will fine-tune the amount of steam.

But what we are pursuing in this method is a mindless realm, so we just have to give more water to make sure. For me, if we want to carry out the process of steaming, the most important thing is whether the coffee powder can eat hot water evenly.

The amount of water I set by myself will be about 1.2 to 1.5 times the amount of powder in a cone-shaped filter cup and about 1.5 to 2 times in a ladder-shaped filter cup. The reason for the difference between the two is that in the structure of the conical filter cup, hot water is better to soak all the coffee powder when injecting water around the circle, and the amount of water needed is relatively less. The structure of the ladder filter cup is zigzag, and if you supply water in a circle, you need a lot of hot water to make sure that the coffee powder can be fully wet.

You can use 1.5 times as much as one and a half. Anyway, the whole cup of 200 kilos of coffee will not lose its flavor because of more or less sparse coffee.
