Qianjie Coffee-Sidamo Coffee tasting and Flavor introduction
Sidamo Coffee is a famous boutique coffee area in southern Ethiopia, growing between 4600 and 7200 feet above sea level in the southernmost Ethiopian plateau (Sidamo district). It is an important producing area in southern Ethiopia. Sidamo grows in the highlands of southern Ethiopia between 1400 and 2200m above sea level. With fertile and well-drained volcanic soil, Sidamo is one of the most famous coffee producing areas in southern Ethiopia.
Due to the wide range of production of Cedamo, different soil composition, local topography and microclimate will give different flavor to coffee, but generally speaking, Cedamo has obvious sweetness, low bitterness, acidity and mellowness.
Sun dried beans:
The Sidamo taste is close to the floral aroma, the acidity is balanced and unirritating, and the palate is rich, but it is slightly earthy.
Coffee flavor
Ethiopian Sidamo Sidamo coffee is famous for its rich flavor, which is very complex and diverse, and has a bright and vibrant aftertaste. The sweetness of the coffee is obvious, so it is loved by most people.
Usually sweet, but also more popular, Sidamo coffee flavor is very diverse.
Yirgacheffe coffee is referred to as the queen of coffee by the Japanese. Because of the local environment and climate, the coffee grown has a natural and unique coffee flavor, which is mainly famous for its lemon and citrus flavor. It smells similar to perfume, but its taste is full of acidity but soft and pleasant.
Due to the climate of Ethiopia and other reasons, the difference between the two kinds of coffee beans, strictly speaking, Yegashafi is a by-product area of Ethiopia's Sidamo producing area (Sidamo), which is independent because of its special flavor.
One of the main points of tasting coffee is how to distinguish the sweet, salty, sour and bitter degree of coffee, which is what we usually call boby, which refers to the round, mellow and strong taste of coffee liquid. The difference between a cup of water and a cup of coffee is that water is tasteless and not sticky, while espresso is rich in oil and has a good mellow thickness. A cup of coffee with a good mellow thickness will make the aroma stay in the mouth longer and the finish longer. Mellow feeling will not only affect your overall coffee experience, but also affect the integrity of the release of aromatic substances in coffee. Most cup testers or consumers can't tell which tastes are good and which are bad, but at least you know what you like and what you don't like. In my opinion, the judgment of the mellow taste of coffee varies from person to person.
