Qianjie-Sumatran Coffee and Manning Coffee
Sumatra, the second largest island in Indonesia, is separated by the Strait of Malacca to the north and is far away from the Malay Peninsula.
It extends from northwest to southeast and the equator passes through the middle of it. The terrain is high in the northwest, and the Bali Mountains (Barisan Mountains) run through it, mainly Arabica species, which is the main producing area of Manning. The southeast is low, mostly flat or swampy, dominated by Robusta varieties. The island has more than 90 volcanoes and a large number of volcanic lakes, providing fertile soil for coffee growth.
Lake Lake Toba, located in the central part of North Sumatra province, was moved northward to Lake dopa by Dutch colonists in 1888, thus creating a modern Mantenin legend.
Lake Tawa (Lake Tawar) is located in the middle of Aceh Special Administrative region. Located at the northern tip of Sumatra, the area is less than 1/10 of Lake dopa.
There are many ethnic minorities in Aceh and northern Sumatra. In Aceh, you can see the Caius, who mainly live in the Caiyue area and the central Aceh region. You can find Pakpak people in Dairi and Pakpak Bar.
When looking for Sumatran coffee, you can often find Jiayu coffee or Manning coffee. Both Gayo and Mandheling (from the Mandailing people) are used as trade names. It is a proud act that all coffee growers are eager to leave their own mark.
Coffee from Sumatra is famous for its smoothness, sweetness, fullness and low acidity. The flavors of cocoa, clay and cedar wood are all well shown in the cup. Sometimes, Sumatran coffee shows higher acidity, which balances its alcohol thickness. This acidity has tropical fruit flavors and sometimes grapefruit or limes.
Manning coffee is very rich in flavor, fragrant, bitter, mellow, with a little sweetness. As the Mantenin coffee beans themselves do not have sour characteristics, so the general special blending methods are based on Mantenin coffee beans, in the long-term heat preservation or preparation of iced coffee, there is no unpleasant sour taste. After baking, the beans are very large, and the raw beans are brown or dark green with a special aroma like caramel and a mellow taste.
Manning Coffee: it has a pleasant sour taste. The smell is mellow, the acidity is moderate, the sweetness is rich and intriguing, it is suitable for deep baking and exudes a strong aroma.
Smell the dry incense when tasting, then smell the wet fragrance when brewing, smell the aroma first when tasting, take a sip to feel the taste in the mouth, and feel the aftertaste of coffee after swallowing.
Knowledge gift: Manning coffee beans have larger particles and hard beans, and are prone to defects in the process of planting. After harvest, they are usually subject to strict manual selection. If the control process is not strict enough, it is easy to cause a mixture of good and bad quality. in addition, different baking degrees will also directly affect the taste, so it has become a more controversial single product.
