The growing environment of Ethiopian rose summer coffee is very demanding and requires an almost perfect location: high altitude, adequate rainfall, mild climate and other key natural factors needed to produce quality coffee. Finally, as a gift, they found this mountain forest in the Bench Maji area and began to build their dream coffee farm. Surprisingly, there are unique coffee resources: close to the Gori Gesha Forest, which is known as the origin of Panamanian rose summer according to its genetic map, the variety that moved to Panama in the 1930s is called Gesha1931, and the other is the wild rose summer variety found and brought back by the owner of Rose Village in 2011, which is called Gori Rosa. Both varieties are heirlooms or native species of Rosa rugosa.
In 2011, Adam followed his consultant Willem Boot on an expedition in the forest around the manor, where he discovered a variety of wild tree species in a jungle magically surrounded by dense forests, of which the most surprising was the wild rose summer. Later they learned that this was the place where the rose species were first found in the Gori Gesha forest.
They collected seeds from native rose summer trees, and after careful screening, they sent the seeds to professional institutions for genetic testing to determine that they belonged to the original collection site of Panamanian rose summer varieties; then, through the study of the plant shape of coffee trees, the appearance and size of coffee beans, and the cup test results, they selected the roses that are closest to the current Panamanian rose summer, and began to raise seedlings. Three varieties of coffee are now grown in Ruoxia Village as shown in the following picture:

Because of its name, the coffee farm in Rosa Village often makes people misunderstand that it only grows Rosa in Rose Village. In fact, in addition to two varieties, there are also native species named Illubabor. It is worth mentioning that the difference between batches of Rosa Manor in some producing areas may not be very prominent because of its small scale; but for large manors like Rose Xia Village, the difference between different plots is equivalent to the difference between small manors and manors, so the manor owner has a very detailed number of plots, which is convenient for later management and flavor tracing.
In order to produce the top "regional flavor", Ruoxia Village has strict standards for the picking and handling of coffee. "pick only the most ripe coffee cherries" and "do not want what is dropped or broken" is the requirement followed by every worker, and the picking instructor will tell the workers what kind of coffee is the most ripe and what kind of cherry is the bad cherry. With the support and cooperation of local residents, they successfully trained a number of high-level pickers and processing plant workers.
With its unique advantages, the most important treatment method in Rose Xia Village is the sun treatment. Because the main harvest season in Ruoxia Village is from December to March of the following year, when it is the dry season in the region and there is little rain, the manor can use the natural drying method of tanning bed to treat the coffee beans. compared with the relatively hot and humid treatment season in Central America, the sun treatment of Rose Village Manor is easier to make a very clean sun flavor.
