What is Project Red Cherry?

Operation Cherry Red Project is a project to improve the quality and value of Ethiopian green coffee beans. Since 2007, it has been initiated by Dutch trader Trabocca and local farmers. At the beginning of the harvest season, 100% mature red coffee cherries are manually harvested according to microclimate zones, which means that each coffee seed is mature and rich in nutrients. In the following years, the Red Cherry Project successively purchased solar racks, cherry defleshing machines, coffee bean sorting machines, cup testing laboratories and other facilities for the producing areas, so that the coffee beans of the Red Cherry Project are now a guarantee of high quality.

The Red Cherry Project was launched in 2007 by Trabocca Raw Beans in Ethiopia. In fact, it is also a public welfare program to help Ethiopian farmers improve their lives. This program gives local smallholders the best protection, because to participate in this program, the premise is that the plantation owner needs high-quality coffee beans. Pursue evaluation to 90 points, and must achieve mass production and traceability.
