Sulawesi, formerly known as Celebes (meaning torrent), produces 7% of Indonesia's coffee. Compared to Sumatra and Java coffee, Sulawesi produces coffee beans of fine quality and high market evaluation, so it has the reputation of Indonesian jewelry.

Most of the coffee on the island is produced by small farmers. Most Arabica is grown at higher elevations in Tana Toraja, and to the south in Kalosi, which has become the brand name for coffee in the region; the most attractive coffee is fully washed, presenting a low acidity, high alcohol, and clean overall style, which fully reflects the coffee taste unique to Indonesia.

Introduction and flavor characteristics of Sulok Manor

Indonesia's reputation for world-class Arabica beans began when the Dutch opened coffee plantations on Indonesia's Sulawest island in the 17th century. Due to the high market evaluation, the island has a good name for Indonesian jewelry.

Toraja is a county on the island of Sulawesi and home to the Toraja people. In 1987, Sulotco Jaya Abadi opened Sulotco on the slopes of Rante Karua in Toracha, covering an area of 1,200 hectares at an altitude of 1,600 to 1,700 meters, of which 200 hectares are nature reserves.

About 1,000,000 coffee trees are planted and raised by coffee growers, and after each harvest, a revenue-sharing mechanism is implemented: 75% of the crop is allocated to farmers and 25% to plantations; the portion owned by farmers is available for acquisition by plantations at reasonable prices.

In order to maintain the natural environment and climate balance of the Landkaruwa Mountains, the Sulok Estate implements organic farming, feeding sheep with leaves from the local tree species, Lamtoro, and using sheep dung as fertilizer. It has obtained SDS and many organic agricultural certificates.

Planted at Sulotco Estate at an altitude of 1,700 meters, it is a rare coffee bean that is chemically free and insists on organic fertilizer cultivation. It is one of the few coffee beans certified by Taiwan Cixin Organic Certification. It fully displays the coffee taste unique to Indonesia. Natural nuts, cream fragrance and slightly fairy grass flavor, unique and charming.

Sulocto produces premium coffees grown at altitudes of 1600 to 1700 feet, especially the famous Kalosi Toraja coffee, Celebes Kalosi coffee and Luwak coffee; it is one of the best coffee varieties in the world. The company also employs organic farming methods to maintain balance and conservation of the natural environment and microclimate surrounding Rante Karua Mountain, which is ultimately used to produce the best organic Arabica coffee in the world.

Unlike Indonesia's typical Mantenin, CP is superior in quality compared to some of Panama's mid-to-high-priced coffee beans, and is more different from ordinary boutique coffee beans.
