What coffee beans do you use in Piccolo latte? How to make a piccolo latte?
Espresso is a huge coffee system. When different proportions of milk and coffee are used, lattes, cappuccinos, Australian white coffee and so on will be distinguished. The front street of this issue introduces a mini latte called Piccolo Latte.
What is Piccolo latte?
Piccolo latte is translated from "Piccolo Latte". "Piccolo" means "piccolo" in English and "small" in Italian, so Piccolo latte is affectionately called small latte. If you think of Piccolo latte simply as a mini latte, you would underestimate the name "Piccolo Latte".
Traditional Piccolo lattes use 3-4 ounces (88-118ml) glasses. Sasa, the 2015 World Coffee Competition champion, described Piccolo coffee as a 3-ounce cup with one espresso and two servings of milk with a layer of silky foam, that is, 1:2. Make use of the reasonable ratio of coffee and milk to achieve the taste of coffee can be emitted without too strong effect.
Why is there Piccolo latte?
Piccolo first appeared as a product of roasters or baristas who wanted to test the coordination between beans and milk and did not want to make the same amount of lattes (lattes are generally not 300ml and would consume a lot of milk during large tests). Later, it's a good choice for guests who don't want to eat too much caffeine or don't want to drink a large latte.
How does Qianjie make piccolo lattes?
Since there is no piccolo latte in Qianjie, there is no glass the size of 90ml. So Qianjie uses 90ml ceramic cups as the carrier of piccolo lattes.
According to the traditional Piccolo latte, it is defined as one espresso (about 30ml) and two servings of milk and foam (about 60ml). Now Qianjie uses a unit of weight, because the volume of coffee oil is different, the amount of milliliters is also different, so it is more accurate to use gram weight to calculate.
The Italian coffee beans used in the front street are sunflower sunflower coffee beans, which are made from Shirley coffee beans and Yega Shirley Red Cherry Plan coffee beans, with very fragrant flavors of vanilla, sherry and chocolate.
Qianjie uses an espresso (20g) as the base of piccolo latte, including crema, the volume is about 30ml. In the process of making Italian concentration, Qianjie used a double coffee handle, filled with 20g coffee powder, extracted 40g coffee solution in 27 seconds, and used a shunt head to divide the coffee liquid into two parts.
In the milk part, the front street uses a milk tank with a capacity of 350ml, pour in 100ml milk (too little milk is difficult to dispose of), send to 0.5-0.7cm fine milk bubbles, and then fully combine the milk and coffee to produce, because the cup capacity is only 90ml, so in the case of coffee liquid containing about 30ml, there is no need to worry about the improper ratio of coffee to milk.
