Ono: intuition about coffee
Coffee Online Ono Column
Chat with friends and say,"I can now judge whether the coffee is good or not by the name of a cafe!"
This is not entirely boasting, good bad coffee drink too much, who will establish a coffee intuition. The frequency of good coffee in the coffee I drank was not low, but in retrospect, I was able to immerse myself in the happiness of the time. It was shameful to say that there were only two times.
Once, as a teenager, I was treated to espresso by a wealthy relative. The coffee machine is a big one from abroad and is said to be very expensive. After drinking that cup of coffee, it was so good…how to put it, so good that it felt like he had become a better person. That day was, so to speak, the beginning of my life without coffee. Another time in bali, at a resort villa called viceroy, the room provided a coffee machine and a pancake coffee bag, which made about 30cc espresso. The coffee tasted so good that I drank five cups at a stretch, and for the next few hours, according to the villa staff, I walked along the road with a mysterious smile.
In fact, this experience is purely personal. Perhaps the coffee in relatives tastes good only because young people have not seen the world. As for the coffee in holiday villa rooms, another person may feel like washing feet. What I'm saying here is that when you meet something that makes you feel extremely different, don't let it go casually. You must remember that feeling firmly.
Then again, how do you judge whether the coffee is good or not based on the name of the cafe, and then decide whether it is worth trying? My experience is several:
If the name exceeds four characters, it is best not to enter;
If the name is only one word, it is best not to enter;
If you don't know what the name means, it's best not to enter;
The name sounds like a translation of a foreign word, and it's best not to enter.
The names are like "purple","wake-up","formosa"... always a little weird. This may be my prejudice, and it may be wrong. But I've actually been to all of them and decided I should trust my instincts rather than curiosity. Maybe I'm picky about naming things. A person who can't even name a cafe well can't make good coffee.
Even if the coffee is good, who wants to walk into a cafe called "The Left Bank" every day?
