Piccolo latte (Piccolo Latte) is a very mysterious milk coffee, which often causes misunderstandings because of its small overall weight, so it is rare to see piccolo lattes on the menu in both domestic and foreign coffee shops.
What is Piccolo latte?
Latte (caffe latte) means milk coffee in Italian, while piccolo means small in Italian and piccolo in English. So Piccolo Latte originally means "small latte" ~ Piccolo coffee is usually only about 85-100ml.
The difference between Piccolo latte and latte
Compared to a regular latte, it usually has 250-300ml, while Piccolo latte has only about 85-114ml. If you don't know the guests about piccolo lattes, there may be misunderstandings because of the difference in weight and falling short of consumers' expectations.
How to make piccolo latte? How do you drink it?
Authentic piccolo lattes are made of 1 espresso plus 2 servings of hot milk (for example, 20 g of espresso is mixed with 40 g of hot milk). The production method is similar to the latte. Now add an espresso to a small cup, then heat it with milk and whisk out a delicate, silky foam. Then the milk is injected into the coffee in a circle to achieve a fusion effect, and a simple flower pattern is made.
There is no piccolo latte on the menu of Qianjie coffee shop, but if customers need it, they can also offer related products. Whether making piccolo lattes or lattes, Qianjie stores make espresso using medium-and deep-roasted mixed beans, one is to ensure that the thickness of caffeine can be retained after adding water / milk, and the other is to produce espresso for a long time.
Qianjie currently uses a home-baked "warm Sun blend Coffee beans", which is made of 70% Honduran Shirley coffee mixed with 30% Essiega sun-tanned cherries to make espresso. It can show the flavor of whisky, soft berry acid, vanilla cream and nut caramel.
The production of espresso: 20g coffee powder extract 40g coffee liquid, extraction time is 28-32 seconds. Then heat the right amount of milk, and finally mix 80g of hot milk with coffee.
After making piccolo coffee, the flavor shows the flavor of whisky, Strawberry Milkshake, nut caramel, sweet and rich, mellow and solid.
