The history of the origin of the chemex coffee maker introduces how to use the chemex coffee maker to make coffee.
About CHEMEX
Chemex is a family business since 1980.
The Chemex coffee machine was invented by Dr. Peter Schlumbohm in 1941. Made of non-porous borosilicate glass and fixed with a wooden collar and tie, it does not give off any flavor when brewing coffee. On permanent display at the Museum of Modern Art and other boutique museums in New York, it is indeed a work of art. He is a family-owned company headquartered in western Massachusetts that makes Chemex coffee machines, Chemex adhesive filters, hand kettles and Chemex accessories, which are sold worldwide.
The mission is to provide excellent coffee brewing equipment. The iconic Chemex has remained unchanged for 70 years and continues to grow.
How to use CHEMEX
How to make the perfect coffee every time
Like all delicacies, a complete taste takes time and our own special feelings. The CHEMEX coffee maker only provides the elements necessary to enrich the flavor of coffee, making your personal taste and method shine.
Step 1: enter the grinding
Choose your favorite coffee beans and grind them to medium coarse powder.
Optional tip: we recommend using a flat knife coffee maker because it provides a more consistent granularity, resulting in more uniform extraction and stronger coffee. If the funds are limited, you can also choose to grind by hand.
Step 2: filterin
Open the CHEMEX ®glued coffee filter into a cone so that one side of the cone has three layers, then place it on top of the CHEMEX ®brewer. The thick (three-layer) part should cover the cup mouth.
Optional tip: soak the filter with warm water to rinse and preheat the coffee maker.
Step 3: pour coffee powder
According to your favorite ratio of water to powder, pour the coffee powder into the filter cone.
Step 4: stew
After boiling the right amount of water to a certain temperature 88-94, pour a small amount of water on the coffee grounds to moisten them, and wait for about 30 seconds to stew, thus releasing the ideal coffee element from the coffee grounds.
Optional hint: the perfect brewing temperature can be seen when buying coffee beans.
Step 5: make and cook
After the stew is over, slowly circle the water into the filter cup while keeping the water level well below the top of the CHEMEX ®(1/4 inches or more).
Step 6: end of water injection
Wait for the coffee liquid in the last cup to run out, and shake the coffee liquid in the cup evenly before drinking it.
Step 7: throw the filter
After brewing the required amount of coffee, remove the filter with used coffee grounds from the brewing machine and discard it.
Step 8: enjoy the perfect cup
Pour freshly made coffee into a cup and enjoy the taste of the coffee.
This is not very simple, a cup of coffee is done. Yeah~
