How do you drink Colombian coffee? Flavor and taste characteristics of Colombian cherry blossom coffee beans
Many friends first met the boutique coffee from Luckin Coffee's cup of SOE latte. At the beginning, Luckin Coffee provoked Francis Chan diss with Sakuran SOE, and Lucky caught up with boutique coffee. The supply of Sakui coffee is limited, and when Luckin Coffee's Sakuran is running out, it launched Columbia Paradise Manor Coffee beans as an alternative to Sakuran, becoming the next major boutique coffee bean.
As soon as the name of Paradise Manor comes out, many people immediately feel that the name is very poetic, so what is the flavor of Paradise Manor coffee beans? Next, let Qianjie introduce Paradise Manor to you.
The unique flavor of coffee beans in Paradise Manor makes many coffee gluttons no longer know the true face of Colombian coffee beans. Colombia is one of the most important coffee producers in the world. Coffee and gold, precious stones and flowers are known as one of Colombia's "four treasures". Coffee cultivation in Colombia can be traced back to the 16th century. In addition, Colombians have a lot of experience in growing this green gold, and the quality of Colombian coffee beans is not only high but also good.
Traditional Colombian coffee has a thick texture, best known as Medellin, Armenia and Manizales, also known as "MAM". Nowadays, the concept of boutique coffee is dominant, and coffee lovers pursue more kinds of individual coffee beans with different customs. Unlike the soft bean style in Brazil, Colombian coffee is grown because of its high altitude, steep terrain, fertile black soil, thick sour fruit and light aroma.
Some boutique coffee producing areas in Colombia are getting more and more attention. Partners who are familiar with Colombian boutique coffee bean producing areas should hear a little about the distribution of Colombian coffee producing areas. Colombian boutique coffee producing areas are concentrated on the west side of the country. From north to south along the Andes, there are Santander, Antioquia, Cauca, Tolima, Whelan, Nalinglong and so on.
And the Colombian Paradise Manor coffee beans acquired by Luckin Coffee come from the Cauca producing area. Cauca is a certified coffee producing area of Colombian origin, with an average elevation of more than 1700 meters and a maximum elevation of 2100 meters. The biggest difference between Cauca and other coffee producing areas in Colombia is that the temperature difference between day and night is large. The low temperature and high altitude at night really slow down the ripening rate of coffee fruits, so they have more time to absorb nutrients in the soil. This reason makes Coca Coffee even sweeter and sour.
There are many kinds of coffee beans in Qianjie coffee, among which the flavor of coffee beans from Colombia has its own characteristics. The Paradise Manor in Colombia has attracted a lot of attention, and of course it is also on the bean list of coffee in front of the street.
Diego Samuel, the owner of Paradise Manor, studied coffee in college until he began to accept and manage the Paradise Manor where there is a sea breeze from the Pacific Ocean in 2008. At first, Paradise Manor was just a small family manor with an area of only 2.5 hectares. Until 2015, Paradise Manor won the first place in the local coffee cup test competition, which greatly stimulated his desire for coffee cultivation and innovation.
With this firm belief, Diego Samuel led Paradise Manor to win numerous awards, making Paradise Manor more and more famous. In addition, Diego never stops the pace of innovation, only to improve and stabilize the quality of coffee. Today, Bourbon, Laurina, Rosa, Castillo and other coffee beans are grown in Paradise Manor, and more varieties are planned to be tried.
A coffee bean from Diego Samuel from Qianjie is a cherry blossom from Paradise Manor. This Colombian cherry blossom is a Castillo variety and is treated with double anaerobic washing. Anaerobic fermentation is a very hot post-treatment method for raw coffee beans in recent years. Pour the coffee fruit into an airtight container or put it in a sink and add water to ferment. In the process, different microorganisms are used for fermentation to create a special flavor, and the coffee fruits are dried in the sun after the fermentation process is completed.
On the other hand, the double anaerobic washing is the first anaerobic fermentation of the complete coffee fruit, then the peel and pulp is removed, and the second anaerobic fermentation is carried out with a sticky pectin layer. After the fermentation is completed, the pectin layer is washed, and the pectin layer is safely cleaned and then treated in the sun.
After being treated in this way, the coffee beans will have a fuller flavor and taste, with a unique sense of fruit sweetness, wine or fermentation.

The roaster of Qianjie Coffee uses moderate roasting when roasting this Colombian cherry bean, highlighting its sweet and sour taste while giving it a thicker taste.
The baristas of Qianjie Coffee use the following parameters when brewing the beans:
Filter cup: Hario V60
Water temperature: 90 degrees Celsius
Amount of powder: 15g
Ratio of powder to water: 1:15
Grinding degree: the pass rate of Chinese standard No. 20 screen is 80%.
First, steam 30 grams of hot water for 30 seconds, inject fine water from the central point and slowly circle to 125 grams. When the water level in the filter cup is about to reveal the powder bed, continue to inject water around 225 grams, the total extraction time is about 2 minutes.
Friends who have tasted this cherry blossom may wonder why this coffee bean is called cherry blossom. This is because the owner of Paradise Manor smelled a faint aroma when naming the coffee beans, which was associated with cherry blossoms.
However, after baking on the front street, the aroma of this coffee bean is a different expression. In the cup test, it is thought to be basil, rosemary, and even wormwood, with a hint of strawberry jam at the end.
Some friends also started after the unique spice smell of cherry coffee beans, but there is no grinding equipment at home, and Qianjie also provides grinding services for these friends. However, Qianjie needs to be reminded that although Qianjie delivers coffee beans baked within 5 days, after grinding into powder, the emission of carbon dioxide in the coffee accelerates and the flavor dissipates. Therefore, it is recommended that friends who have grinding equipment at home buy whole beans for fresh grinding and flushing, which has a better flavor.
