Pour 6-8 ounces of hot water over the tea and steep for 2 - 3 minutes to give the tea a taste (if it lasts longer than 3 minutes, it may appear bitter).
Sugar or honey can be added to sweeten if desired. Milk (or lemon) is usually reserved for black tea.

For herbal tea, also known as tisane:
