RWASHOSCCO-Rwanda Little holder Specialty Coffee is a farmer-owned company focusing on the marketing, export and roasting of the best quality coffee beans in Rwanda. RWASHOSCCO is a farmer-owned marketing, export and baking company. RWASHOSCCO was founded in 2005, when the PEARL/USAID project was coming to an end. The idea came from Timothy Schilling, then chairman of the PEARL/USAID party. The idea is to leave an umbrella organization or company of farmers to handle all marketing and export logistics and to strengthen the management and leadership of primary cooperatives. RWASHOSCCO is a marketing, export and roasting company owned by farmers and provides key services to small coffee cooperatives in Rwanda. RWASHOSCCO Ltd is a limited liability company registered in the Republic of Rwanda. It is owned by six cooperatives.

The company produces and exports raw coffee beans derived from the fertile soil of Rwanda. The farmers it cooperates with operate in six growing areas of the country, and the company's coffee beans are unique in variety and flavor. They use certified planting and processing methods to ensure that each bean has a unique coffee taste. To achieve this goal, RWASHOSCCO provides farm and management training to its member smallholder coffee farmers' cooperatives and ensures that 100% of profits are returned to farm development activities.

The enterprise farmer works with an internal cup surveyor to ensure that every decision made at the farm level is not accidental, but is based on recommendations based on laboratory results. At present, the company's coffee has been certified by Fair Trade, Rainforest Alliance, UTZ, CAF É PRACTICES and the United States Department of Agriculture. As an ambitious partner coffee producer, Rwashoscco is becoming the leading quality brand in Rwanda in the 21st century.

The company has achieved positive results. Rwashoscco, an export company owned by six cooperatives, produces roasted and raw coffee across the country, and Rwashoscco has infiltrated lucrative markets in Europe, Asia and the United States, while providing jobs for 13600 farmers. With financing support from the United States Agency for International Development, exporters have established a strong network of coffee stations and important quality assurance mechanisms, including testing laboratories.

Rwashoscco currently has an export capacity of 45 containers; however, it is not satisfied with the status quo. In fact, with exports reaching more than 70% of production capacity this year, there is still plenty of room for growth. We are firmly committed to continuing to produce coffee of excellent quality. This can be seen in the Let's Talk Coffee quality Award won by Panama in 2014 for boutique coffee exported from the Malaba, Karaba and Musassa cooperatives.
