What is oolong tea?

When you drink specialty coffee, your first problem may be the country of origin. Is it Brazilian chocolate, fruity Ethiopian, or balanced Guatemala? But when it's tea, you want to know how it's processed-because that's the difference between black / red, green, yellow, white and oolong tea.

Although alpine oolong tea can be found in other countries such as Thailand and Vietnam, it is most often associated with Taiwan. This is partly due to the mountains of Taiwan, which is an ideal environment for growing tea.

"Gaoshan" tea grows at an altitude of more than 1000 meters. Tea gardens in Taiwan are characterized by high humidity and natural precipitation. Tea leaves are usually covered with fog until they are picked carefully by hand.

This tea is famous for its complex taste, aroma and aftertaste. This, coupled with limited supply, may lead to high prices-but if you ask me, I think it's always worth it.

The Historical tradition of Modern Tea drinking

Drinking oolong tea is a long tradition in Taiwan, and it is even part of traditional Chinese medicine. The preparation and appreciation of the drink is almost as important as the tea itself.

The handmade teapot is made of unglazed clay and is the preferred container for brewing oolong tea. Teapots, cups, trays and other accessories are collected by Chinese tea art connoisseurs.
