Keemun Black Tea Qimen Maofeng was born in Anhui and Qimen County, China. This is an advanced "Maofeng" type of tea with classic fragrant Qimen outline, fruity and smooth. The land was harvested in the spring of 2021. The historical origin of Keemun Black Tea can be traced back to the late 19th century. The name "Qimen" comes from an older western spelling, Qimen Town. Qimen tea quickly became a popular and famous Chinese black tea because of its attractive, fragrant, sweet and fruity characteristics. There are many other subtypes of this kind of tea: Maofeng, Millet and Gongfu tea are the most common and popular. The lower-grade Keemun Black Tea is also often used to mix tea.

Qimen Maofeng is one of the more well-known and high-grade varieties in Keemun Black Tea. It is said to be Queen Elizabeth II's favorite tea. Mao Feng refers to this kind of tea, which literally means "fur peak". Similar to the famous Huangshan Maofeng green tea, this refers to the hair found on the buds when picking. Because Qimen Maofeng is composed of complete unbroken buds and tender leaves, it is lighter and sweeter than other types of Keemun Black Tea. In contrast, "Qimen Gongfu" its dried leaves tend to be thinner and tighter, the seedling peak is good, and the color is jet black and oily, resulting in a fuller, smoother, more mellow tea. The leaves of this Qimen Maofeng are long, black, thin and slightly twisted, which is the typical appearance of this kind of tea. When the leaves are brewed, you can clearly see that the Qimen Maofeng is made up of buds and tender leaves. This tea has a deep amber color with spicy woody and fruity aromas. Round fruit aromas with mineral aromas and a hint of wood. There is a strong red fruit stew. With a slight taste and mineral aftertaste, it completes a particularly satisfying black tea feature.
