Recently, a consumer posted a post entitled "the face of a McDonald's clerk has darkened" on a social platform, sparking heated discussion among many netizens.
According to the content of the post, the poster learned from user feedback on the Internet that McDonald's black coffee can be refilled and can be taken away with a full thermos cup. So a few days ago, the customer took a water cup to a nearby McDonald's restaurant and asked the clerk to pour the coffee he had ordered into his own cup and asked him to "can I pour some more?"
To the customer's surprise, when he made the request, the clerk's face suddenly darkened, but he did not say anything about it and continued to pour some more hot coffee into the cup. Noticing the fleeting change in the shop assistant's face, the person concerned was extremely puzzled and wondered how his experience was different from what other people said.
Some time ago, McDonald's official announced that it had completely replaced fresh brewed coffee with fresh coffee, saying that although the product had been upgraded, the price of the product remained unchanged, the original sugar packets and milk balls were supplied as usual, and consumers could still refill their cups for free. From this point of view, there is nothing wrong with the customer's request for a refill.
However, some netizens said that when they refill their cups, they usually drink the coffee in the paper cup first, and then go to the shop assistant to get a new hot cup of coffee. If there is a need for heat preservation, they will not directly ask for coffee to be poured into their own cup, but take the drinks packaged by the clerk and pour them into the insulation cup they carry with them.
However, unlike Starbucks, Manner and other restaurants, McDonald's does not have a rule on allowing the use of its own cups, so according to the store's production standards, employees can refill customers' glasses and only pour drinks into paper cups printed with the brand logo.
"if the manager sees that you are going to be scolded, don't embarrass the shop assistant.", "if you have monitoring, you can't bring your own cup directly, but use their coffee paper cup to pack it." and "take a quilt directly to a large cup." when the leader sees that he wants to talk about it again, "the shop assistant will be scolded when he is found out. He pretends to you that he doesn't want to eat bad reviews." he doesn't know if he takes a cup to the counter and says it's over if he finds out.
Shop assistants said that if the coffee is poured directly into the customer's own cup, there is actually a certain food safety risk, so the store does not allow employees to produce in this way. In addition, a small number of people say that a person who directly asks for a self-contained cup like this will make it difficult for the clerk to judge whether the other person has spent money in the store, resulting in some unnecessary misunderstandings.
From the public's point of view, since users want to enjoy the free refill service provided by McDonald's, they should abide by the restaurant's production standards and refill the cup appropriately as required, rather than asking the clerk to pour coffee into their own cup at the risk of illegal operation.
