Nestl é sets up the world's first coffee center in Pu'er, Yunnan Province
Nestl é, the world's first coffee center, announced on the 12th that it was officially stationed in the Pu'er Industrial Park in Yunnan Province.
According to Shi Mingde, executive vice president of Nestl é Greater China, the Nestl é Coffee Center consists of two parts, one is the Nestle Coffee planting training Center, which will provide training for farmers, agronomists and coffee professionals; the other is a modern coffee quality assurance laboratory and integrated processing and storage facilities.
Lu Han, director of the Pu'er Coffee Industry Development Office, said that Nestl é has set up a coffee center in Pu'er, which not only provides sales channels for Pu'er coffee, but also provides technical support for local farmers, which plays a great role in the development of Pu'er coffee industry. this is also the recognition of Pu'er coffee quality by the international coffee industry, and the cooperation between the two sides will be further deepened in the future.
According to reports, Nestl é will purchase about 10, 000 tons of coffee beans in Pu'er, Yunnan Province during the 2014-2015 coffee purchasing season.
Yunnan Province is located in the southwest of China, and the climate and geographical conditions are suitable for coffee growth. in 2013, the planting area of coffee is about 1.4 million mu, and the output is close to 100000 tons, accounting for more than 98% of the total area and total output of coffee in the country. Among them, Pu'er City is the largest coffee producing area in Yunnan, with a planting area of more than 710000 mu, and has become a high-quality small-seed coffee bean producing area concerned by the global coffee industry.
