Starbucks raises prices in 12 cities. Five types of coffee do not involve the Beijing market.
The reporter confirmed from Starbucks China yesterday that from the 6th of this month, the price of five basic Starbucks coffee has increased by 2 yuan in 12 cities such as Tianjin, Dalian and Chongqing.
Yesterday, Starbucks China official said in an interview with reporters that the price increase began on November 6, including latte, vanilla latte, cappuccino, mocha and caramel macchiato, with a price increase of 2 yuan.
It is understood that the price increases in Tianjin, Dalian, Chongqing, Chengdu, Xi'an and other 12 cities, do not involve the Beijing market.
"when Starbucks first entered the mainland market in 12 cities, including Tianjin and Dalian, the prices of these five types of coffee were lower than those of other cities in the country. The purpose of this price adjustment is to bring the prices of these cities into line with those of other cities." The above-mentioned responsible person told reporters.
The reporter learned that this is the second time that Starbucks has adjusted its price in China this year.
Earlier this year, Starbucks China issued a statement saying that in mainland China, the prices of several beverages, including espresso and freshly brewed coffee drinks, would be raised by 1 to 2 yuan.
