Coffee, generally we mean finished: coffee we drink, also refers to coffee beans. Coffee is an evergreen shrub belonging to the genus Coffea of Rubiaceae. Coffee, with certain effects, such as refreshing, stomach, hemostasis, heat dissipation, physical, etc., hee hee, if you say who was carried away by love, or drink a cup of coffee to wake up!

There are about 40 species of coffee plants, but only Arabica, Robusta and Liberian species can produce coffee beans with commercial value. These three species are called "three native coffee species", but Arabica and Robusta are mostly circulated in the market.

According to ICO(International Coffee Organization) statistics, excluding the domestic transactions of coffee producing countries, about 65% of the coffee circulating in the world market is Arabica and 35% is Robusta.

Coffea arabica is flat bean type, slender grain, similar to oval shape, with high quality aroma and sour, tree height 5-6m, cultivation height in the low altitude area of 500-2000m, not tolerant to low temperature and high temperature, also not tolerant to much rain and little rain, rot resistance is very weak, resistance to leaf rust is also very poor, fruit period is longer, about 3 years, origin is Ethiopia, among the three original species, Arabica is the best quality.

Coffea robusta Linden was originally a mutant of Coffea canephora, but it is customary to associate robusta with Arabica rather than Congo. Robusta beans are relatively round, not sour, but have a distinctive bitter taste, similar to fried wheat flavor, known as "rob flavor." Flavor is very strong, mainly used for instant coffee, filling coffee, liquid coffee and other industrial production coffee. But Robusta's caffeine content is around 3.2 percent, much higher than Arabica's 1.5 percent. The tree height is about 5m, the cultivation height is less than 500m, the resistance to rot is very strong, the resistance to high temperature and rain is stronger than that of Arabica. The main producing countries of Robusta species are Indonesia, Vietnam and Cote d'Ivoire, Algeria and West African countries centered on Angola. In recent years, Vietnam has made efforts to become one of the major coffee producing countries and has included coffee production in its national policy. Hehe, this is one of the answers I want to answer to Mr. Eric why Vietnamese coffee can be sold for 0.5 yuan a cup. I. Quality; II. Culture; III. Quantity. Vietnam also produces some Arabica coffee.

Liberia species (coffea liberica) here do not want to say very detailed, because his trading range is very small, usually not used, we are not talking about very often, so here is a brief description. Liberian coffee is native to West Africa. It has strong adaptability to all kinds of environments, whether high or low temperature, wet or dry, except leaf rust resistance. Arabica coffee is also not resistant to leaf rust. However, Liberian coffee has a worse flavor than Arabica coffee and is extremely bitter. Therefore, it is only traded in some West African countries or planted for research. Bean spoon-shaped, large, tree height 10m, cultivated at a height of 200m, very strong rot resistance.
