According to a preliminary report from the Nicaraguan Export Trading Centre (Cetrex), from October 2014 to July 2015, Nigeria's coffee exports totaled US $329.2 million, compared with US $267.1 million in the same period of the previous year.

According to the Cetrex report, during the nine-month period, Nicaraguan coffee exports totaled 1.84 million bags (45.45kg each), compared with 1.68 million bags in the same period last year. The report also points out that during the first nine months of the current harvest year, the average price of international coffee was $178.8 per bag, compared with an average of $158.6 per bag in the same period in 2013-14.

Coffee, along with beef and gold, is Nicaragua's main export, while coffee is mainly sold to the United States, Venezuela, Germany, Belgium and Canada, Cetrex said.
