Drinking coffee and green tea is good for your health
After 19 years of follow-up investigation, a research center has confirmed that drinking coffee and green tea can not only reduce the risk of death, but also play a significant role in reducing the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
After analysis, the team found that if the group "drank less than one cup of green tea a day" as the benchmark, then in the group of people who "drank more than five cups of green tea a day", the risk of death decreased by 13% for men and 17% for women. The analysis suggests that this may be due to the role of catechins in green tea, which is thought to regulate blood pressure, body fat and lipids.
In addition, based on the frequency of coffee drinking, the team found that the risk of death from drinking three to four cups of coffee a day was significantly reduced. The survey also shows that drinking coffee can also reduce the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and respiratory diseases. This may be due to the fact that chlorogenic acid in coffee can improve blood sugar and regulate blood pressure, while caffeine can improve vascular endothelium.
