喝咖啡会使胸部变小,还会防癌?

Now rumors are flying, but this is not a rumor, this is a paper published in the British Journal of Cancer in 2008, when it was reprinted by many media, the central idea is that drinking more than three cups of coffee a day causes women's breasts to shrink.

Women often spend money on breast enhancement, how can it be done? What are three cups of coffee to regular coffee drinkers? This is supposed to be a fatal blow to coffee, but a few years later, there is no movement, what does it mean? Does that mean it's not reliable?

This is a Swedish study of 269 women, with an average age of 29, who measured their breasts and conducted a coffee drinking habit questionnaire.

See? what does 269 mean? The key is that it is not easy, these women are from high-risk families of breast cancer, half of them carry the CYP1A2*1F gene that may be associated with breast cancer, that is, breast density.

A small number is one of them, not a follow-up study. Some people are born with small breasts, and people who drink more coffee may have good habits and are thinner than others, regardless of all factors.

The result of the study was that people who drank three cups of coffee a day had smaller breasts than those who did not drink so much coffee, with a difference of 150ml from those who carried the CYP1A2*1F genome. Listen, without the CYP1A2*1F genome, people who drink three cups of coffee a day have slightly larger breasts than those who don't drink so much coffee, a difference of 50 milliliters!

So most women should drink more coffee?

When this research result went to the media, it was taken out of context and only said the first half of the sentence.

In fact, the authors support drinking more coffee and conclude that coffee can help prevent breast cancer in people carrying the CYP1A2*1F gene.

Unfortunately, this conclusion is also unreliable, so the researchers measure breasts by calculating volume, treating women's breasts as pyramids, multiplying the basic area by height divided by 3.

Pyramid breasts are so imaginative.
