What is coffee?
The classification of coffee plants is complex, with many varieties, subspecies and strains. Two of the most representative and commercially useful are Arabica coffee and carnivora coffee, both of which have a large variety. The coffee variety commonly referred to as Robusta is a high-yield variant of carnivora coffee. Other types of coffee trees include Liberian coffee, discovered in Liberia in 1843, and Tivivarius coffee, or Excelsior coffee. Both coffee trees resemble Robusta, and neither tastes good to say the least. Efforts have been made to develop hybrid coffee trees, but it is generally believed that although the new varieties will increase the yield of coffee trees, make them more resistant and may prolong the life of the trees, the hybrid will not taste as good as the old ones.
All coffee trees grow in the vast tropics on either side of the equator and between the tropics, but they vary greatly in appearance according to their varieties and varieties. Evergreens may range in color from light green to dark green or even bronze, and their bright leaves are wavy, something neither Robusta nor Arabica have. Some coffee trees are still bush height today, and some can grow as tall as towers up to 18 meters if they are not pruned for harvest.
